I just updated my iOS version to 18.4 and when it turned on after update it showed me an onboarding screen to add cards via NFC just by placing it near the phone’s top. But i tried a few cards and none of them worked. So did they launch it in india and we just need to wait for the banks to add support?
we already got google pay , phone pay , that pay , this pay just curious how is apple pay different from it ?
Apple Pay isn’t just another “this pay” or “that pay” in the crowded digital wallet space. What makes it special? It’s actually built right into the Apple ecosystem rather than being just another app you download.
The beauty of Apple Pay is in its seamless integration. Your iPhone or Apple Watch becomes your wallet - just double-click the side button, authenticate with Face ID, and hover near the terminal. No fumbling with apps or waiting for connections.
Security is where Apple Pay really shines. Each transaction uses a unique token instead of your actual card number, so merchants never see your details. Plus the biometric authentication means only you can use it.
And honestly, the adoption rate is impressive - more stores accept Apple Pay than most alternatives (at least in the US and many other countries).
It’s not revolutionary compared to other payment systems functionally, but the execution is just… better. Smoother, faster, and more secure. That’s the Apple way, right? Take something that exists and refine it until it feels magical.
