Can we check the mall's security video?

Heyyy so my sister lost her purse in the shopping mall yesterday when we went shopping. I checked with the service center, but they said no one reported about any lost items. Can we ask them to let us check the security video? She has a lot of important stuff in her purse.

Hmm I'm not sure. Some store owners may view it as a security threat, because they’re concerned that these types of after-hours activity expose ways into the building. (Working in security selling Axis and Skyrec for years here)

In our state, it is the rule,
if a customer wants video footage, then the mall manager makes it available to the customer readily.
