Stick with the free version of Norton it has very good detection rate and very light on resources. Windows Defender can be a bit heavy on your system. (Surprising since it's BUILT in!)yeah
Kaspersky has been tested as the second lightest after K7. I actually love it, I felt that Bitdefender is lighter than Kaspersky. I have never compared them but in my personal option (or just a gut feeling) Bitdefender is superior. It blocks all sketchy-looking websites and even sometimes when I make a google image search it shows bad URL blocked notification without any visible disturbance to the search.
I don't know why but Kaspersky takes longer to load up its control panel when I open itKaspersky has been tested as the second lightest after K7. Performance Test April 2020 | AV-Comparatives (Scroll half way down the page) And Kaspersky always scores near the top at about 100% detection.

Nop, only bitdefenderProbably because it's "lighter" on your resources, so sitting in the background doesn't take alot of process power. Not a high priority of usage. You are not using another AV with it are you?
Just like i said Windows defender on Windows 10 is just goodIf you have windows 10 I would recommend using the included "Windows Defender" program as it is good enough for most users. However, if you want even more security, I would have used "Bitdefender", one of the best antivirus programs on the market.
Defender has came a long way but its still not upto the markJust like i said Windows defender on Windows 10 is just good

I had a similar situationAbsolutely, using antivirus is still crucial! It's like an immune system for your devices. While there's a variety of good security software out there, it's also important to ensure your apps are secure from the get-go.
