Is it possible to use Alexa to control my PC?

I recently bought an Echo Dot and is loving it. I was wondering if i can use it to control my PC, like to play a movie, pause, shut down and all. Can it be done?

It should be possible as you can create alexa skills and program something for your pc but if coding is not your thing then im not sure :/
