What's the best mouse DPI setting for games like CSGO

I personally like to play with higher DPI's my favorite is 3000DPI. After looking at what the pros use I tried to use 400DPI with 3.09 in-game sensitivity (s1mp1e's settings) but still it seemed so uncomfortable to turn and move. I had to move my mouse halfway across my desk to make a 360 turn. Am I doing something wrong here? What are you guys using?
