I recently bought an Echo Dot and is loving it. I was wondering if i can use it to control my PC, like to play a movie, pause, shut down and all. Can it be done?
It should be possible as you can create alexa skills and program something for your pc but if coding is not your thing then im not sure

You can do that with home assistant Alexa integration.

Ill give this a shot, also there is an alexa pc app but i dont think i can control the PC itself

But thats needs extra hardware and configuration, i was think to use a software or something on my pc which give some controls via voice either on pc itself or via phone or other alexa devices
