I can't connect my earbuds to mac air

I am facing this issue from past 2 days even though it says bluetooth is connected but i can’t able to listen anything in earbuds , it is taking system output and also there is headset icon appearing , any help apperciated

Does it connect and work properly with your phone? or have you tried it on any other devices?

yess , no worries i figured out the. solution , basiaclly mac got an update i didn’t do , i have done it now , it works fine

What helped me was turning Bluetooth off and on, then unpairing and pairing the earbuds again. Also, make sure in your sound settings the earbuds are chosen as the output. Sometimes restarting the Mac Air after all that does the trick.
