Best budget Graphics Card with no extra power requirements

I currently have a Geforce GT 740 and want to upgrade but have budget restraints. Looking for at least 4gb and prefer to only have motherboard power consumption but only one power plug needed will not be a deal breaker! Any suggestions? (Wish I could afford the latest and greatest!)

Don’t know how much your budget is but you can go for ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Mini. Has 4GB GDDR5 memory and doesn’t require external power.

GTX1050Ti can handle most modern AAA titles at medium to high graphics settings. If you can spend more then GTX1650 G6 will be a much better option

I built my <$1000 PC in October and went with an EVGA 1660 Ti SC Gaming Ultra at the suggestion of my tech guru…who pretty much decided the entire parts list. It’s about $270 including rebate, I’m pretty satisfied with it. It takes an extra connector from the PSU.

Is that a larger sized card? I don’t have too much case room, with a mini atx motherboard.

It’s not that big. It’s pretty medium in every way I think. 2 expansion slots.

Max GPU Length 202 mm
Card Dimensions (L x H)7.96" x 4.38"

Here is how it looks in my Cougar MX-330

Which case are you using? I think there should be a mini version of 1660 and it should fit in ITX cases

Looks like it would fit mine!

Have you tried PCPartPicker? You can browse a list based on whatever variables you want.
You can set a price range, a length range, if you want to see only GPUs with 4 or 5 star ratings, power consumption, ports etc. help you get a good idea of what you’ll end up getting.

Yep very cool site!

I think, the best you can get for that price is, just a 1050ti (i am not talking dimensions).

I would prefer GTX1650 because thats the best Nvidia option without additional power requirement. Im not sure about AMDs offerings and models.

I used a 1050ti for quite a while, you can find them with 6 pins or just pure PCI power. I only replaced it because it was just a bit too weak to play titles like Monster Hunter. I think I was stuck around 45 FPS

Look at eBay for a second hand graphic card you can find some great deals on there of facebook marketplace
